    Alan Gould Chief Executive Officer

    Prior to leading uSamp, Alan founded IAG Research and built the company into the leading provider of engagement metrics in the television industry. He served as its co-CEO until the company was acquired by Nielsen for $250 million. IAG’s lead venture investors were Insight Investment Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners. As Co-CEO, Gould was involved in all aspects of IAG’s product development, sales, and ongoing financing. Following the company’s merger with Nielsen, Gould then created and served as CEO of Advertiser Solutions, a business unit of The Nielsen Company that provides end-to-end marketing solutions to large and global advertisers.

    Gould is a venture partner with Greycroft Partners, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of AppAnnie, having previously served on the boards of CrowdComputing and Netsertive and VIZU, which was acquired in July 2012 by Nielsen. Gould also served on the boards of Harris Interactive (2011-2012) and the READ Alliance (2008-2012), an organization devoted to improving reading skills of at risk youth. Gould is a graduate of the New York University School of Law (J.D.), Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (M.P.P.), and the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service (B.S.F.S.).

    Carl Trudel Chief Technical Officer

    With over 18 years of experience leading high performing teams, Carl brings sharp leadership, tech genius and global perspective to uSamp. Hailing from Quebec, Carl built his career stateside leading engineering teams for SaaS and consumer solutions utilized all over the world. Carl has held prominent posts as the CTO at social commerce platform, BeachMint; SVP of Software Development for Live Nation; VP Technology for Ticketmaster; and Director of Software Development for Oracle-acquired talent management platform, Taleo. His degrees are in Mechanical, Industrial and Software Engineering. Carl’s tech credentials are no joke, but if you ask his kids and colleagues, they’d say that he has a funny bone.

    John Woolard Chief Financial Officer

    What if we told you that one of our leaders was a big wave rider with a photographic memory who once was lost in the Saudi Arabian desert, and now can be found in a corner office in Encino? uSamp challenges you to find another CFO with that street-cred. John Woolard is a CPA with more than 20 years of diverse financial leadership experience in entertainment, retail, manufacturing and distribution, including positions as CFO, VP of Finance, and Controllership. Before taking this role as CFO, he led finance teams in the U.K., Netherlands and the Middle East. Woolard has a proven ability to manage and optimize financial results within rapidly changing environments. He possesses an extensive background in strategic planning, financial reporting, treasury operations and internal controls and has solid relationships in the investor and lending communities. Woolard earned a degree in accounting and finance from Cal State Northridge. Not listed on his resume, but worthy of mention: his ability to read minds and penchant for English pubs especially when Chelsea is playing.

    Ted Bouzakis EVP, North American Sales

    Combining 20 plus years of sales and management experience, Ted Bouzakis is determined to lead the expansion of uSamp’s diverse client base while serving as the leader of uSamp’s North American sales operations. This should come as no surprise given his résumé. Prior to joining uSamp in the winter of 2012, Bouzakis served as an account executive in the financial services vertical at EMC, a Fortune 500 global leader in cloud, big data and trusted IT. Before that, he was vice president of sales for the Major Accounts Division at ADP, a provider of business outsourcing and human resource solutions. Although he held several executive roles over his 12 years at ADP, he’ll never forget how he jumpstarted his market research career as the director of sales at Greenfield Online. Bouzakis holds a degree in marketing from Bentley University and is a passionate New England sports fan. When he’s not busy firing up his sales squad, he is a self-professed family man, spending every minute of free time with his wife and three kids.Recognition of Bouzakis’ hard work over the course of his career includes: EMC’s Rookie of the Year and MVP for the Commercial Division, five-time ADP President’s Club winner and the recipient of ADP’s Leadership Excellence Award.

    Edan Portaro EVP of Global Development

    A seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in sales and business development, Edan Portaro came to uSamp after spending several years as a consultant focused on the development of sales channels and go-to-market strategies for a variety of small-to-medium, VC funded, and early stage companies. Prior to consulting, he worked as SVP of Sales at Monster Worldwide and YellowPages.com, where he was recognized for his role in retooling the existing products and sales channels to help position the companies for future growth.

    Andy Jolls SVP of Global Marketing

    Andy Jolls is a senior executive with more than 20 years experience in both mature and high-growth companies. Prior to his last company, Zumbox, Jolls served as chief marketing officer at Cooking.com (acquired by Target Corp.), and has held senior level marketing positions at MyFICO.com, a division of FICO, (NYSE: FICO) and Move, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOVE). Trained in product management at Apple and Hewlett Packard early in his career, Jolls started out conducting qualitative market research for Technomic, Inc. He also serves as an advisor for early stage startups and runs his own lifestyle blog. Jolls has a master’s in management, marketing, finance and organizational behavior from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s in economics from University of Michigan.

    Lisa Wilding-Brown SVP, Mobile Business Solutions

    Lisa Wilding-Brown has over a decade of experience in the market research industry. Wilding-Brown’s latest cause d’être is all things mobile: She is at the helm of the latest technological and methodological innovations, leading the company’s efforts to position itself as the premier mobile market research supplier. In addition, she sits on the board of the Mobile Marketing Research Association (MMRA) to ensure best practices for this new method across the industry. Wilding-Brown is an honors graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo with a BA in both communication and international relations, and completed graduate studies at the University College Dublin in Ireland.

    Ben Leet Managing Director, Europe

    Ben Leet has been in the research industry for over a decade, and recalls sending surveys via fax machine with a certain nostalgic fondness before watching the world dramatically change over the past 10 years! Leet has always had business development close to his heart, and has combined that commercial acumen with his natural leadership abilities to build new sales channels at several companies including Decision Tree Consulting and Toluna before being part of the seed team that founded uSamp Europe in January 2011. Since then Leet has been instrumental in building our footprint in Europe, and he now combines his market research experience with his sales and leadership skills to oversee our European operations. Leet is a graduate of the Nottingham Business School with a BA (Hons) in European business, speaks fluent German, and spends most of his free time with his wife and two young children.

    Sean Moriarty former President and Chief Executive Officer, Ticketmaster

    Sean Moriarty is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Ticketmaster, the world’s largest live entertainment ticketing and marketing company. Prior to serving as President & CEO, Sean served Ticketmaster in several roles of increasing responsibility, including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Product & Technology. Prior to Ticketmaster, Sean was part of the technology team at Citysearch, where his roles included Executive Vice President of Technology and Vice President of Internet Systems.

    Sean is currently a venture advisor at Mayfield Fund, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley and is non-executive Chairman at Triton Media, a leading provider of applications, services and content to the media industry. He serves on the Board of Directors of Freedom Communications, a diversified media company headquartered in Irvine, CA as well as the Board of Directors of Eventbrite, a San Francisco based startup backed by Sequoia Capital. Sean is also on the board of TuneIn, global leader in delivering free local, international and Internet radio, and uSamp, a pioneer in online market research. He is actively involved as a Board member for two prominent non-profit organizations; CoachArt.org, a Los Angeles based charitable organization that provides free lessons in the arts and athletics to children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and the Pat Tillman Foundation, a national leader in providing resources and educational support to veterans, active service members and their dependents. Sean holds a BA from the University of South Carolina and attended graduate school at Boston University and the University of South Carolina.

    Adam Marcus Managing Director, OpenView Partners

    Adam Marcus is Managing Director at OpenView Partners, where he focuses on investing in and building companies in several sectors, including software, digital media and technology enabled businesses. Prior to joining OpenView, Adam worked at Battery Ventures focusing on investments in marketing services, fintech, and digital media. At Battery, Adam was on the Board of J. Hilburn and MoreMagic, a Board Observer at Exact Target and The NewsMarket, and was actively involved with Cortera. Prior to Battery, Adam was Director of Corporate Development for The Boston Celtics, where he led strategic initiatives for the team. Adam holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Franklin and Marshall College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

    David Cremin Managing Director, DFJ Frontier

    David Cremin is a founder and Managing Director of DFJ Frontier, a Draper Fisher Jurvetson venture capital fund focused on seed and early stage technology companies on the west coast. At Frontier, he leads fund management, fundraising and portfolio management efforts. Prior to Frontier, he was a founding partner of Zone Ventures in Los Angeles. As an entrepreneur, he served as founder and CEO of Vis-à-Vis Entertainment, a music publishing and digital media company. He also spent several years touring as a professional musician and recording for RCA Records, Atlantic Records, Elektra Records and EastWest Records. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

    Dana Settle Partner, Greycroft Partners

    Dana Settle is a Partner with Greycroft LLC, and she heads the firm’s west coast office. Prior to joining Greycroft, Dana spent several years as a venture capitalist and advisor to startup companies in the Bay Area, including six years at Mayfield, where she focused on early stage companies in the mobile communications and consumer Internet markets.

    Dana currently serves or observes on the boards of Greycroft’s investments in K2 Networks, MoVoxx, Sometrics, Sportgenic, uSamp, Vuze and WideOrbit. She also managed the firm’s investments in Digisynd (sold to Disney) and ContentNext (sold to Guardian Media). Dana previously invested in and advised several companies, including Inphi, MobileStar (sold to TMobile), Revenue Science, Trigo (sold to IBM) and Truveo (sold to AOL). Dana’s additional experience includes investment banking at Lehman Brothers in the media and communications group and international business development at McCaw Cellular Communications. Dana holds a BA in Finance and International Studies from the University of Washington and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Greg Stuart

    Greg Stuart, global CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association, is a recognized leader in digital media & advertising with more than two decades of hands-on operating experience in executive roles with Y&R, Sony Online Ventures, Cars.com, Flycast Ad Network and venture-backed DeltaClick. As former CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Greg grew revenues with a CAGR of 37% (overall +500%) while leading the industry from $6 billion to $17 billion in ad spending. He was selected by Ad Age as one of “10 Who Made Their Mark” in 2006.

    Greg has served on the Advisory Boards of a dozen venture-backed companies in Search, Mobile, Video, Research and Social Media backed by Accel, Intel, Greylock, Sierra, Conway, TimeWarner, USVP, Union Square, Oak VC, DFJ, Canaan, Spark, Intel, First Round Capital and others. He currently serves on the Board of Zimbio, a next generation webzine with nearly 20 million uniques and backed by Menlo Ventures and August Capital. Greg has a BA in Economics from the University of Washington and completed Wharton’s Advanced Management Program in 2008. He lives happily outside of New York City in Bridgehampton, NY with his wife Pamela, twin daughters and son.

    Steve Goodall

    Steve Goodall is the retired President and CEO of J.D. Power and Associates. During his tenure as President of J.D. Power from 1996 through the end of 2008, he led the firm’s growth across four major dimensions including the further expansion of its automotive practice, the diversification into other key industries besides automotive, the expansion of its services globally and the establishment of the J.D. Power brand name at both the industry and consumer levels.
